Polecats and Tiger Sharks Guestbook

Michael Laurence Larson served 2 tours with the 192nd. From his service from 1969-1971 he contacted Hep C and developed Diabetes. He died from liver cancer, a complication from Hep C on October 9, 2014. On one of his last days we pulled up this site to see where he served and to reconnect with his fellow soldiers.

Mike was proud of his service and ultimately gave his life for it. He was the love of my life and will be missed forever.....

Admin reply: Rest in peace SP5 Larson.

In '71 a folksinger slick crewman wrote and sang verses to "Alice's restaurant" for every LZ he visited in southern II Corps. I think he was with the 192nd. Ring any bells?
TIA

Greetings 192nd AHC,
I'd like to start by thanking all of your for your service to this great country.

As a soon to be soldier myself I am honored to try to live up to the legacy you've created.

This isn't just a post thanking you all though, sadly my uncle just passed away and someone from my family believes that while he was in Vietnam he served in the 192nd. The term tiger sharks gets thrown around a lot when they speak of his service and I was wondering if anybody may remember him. His name was Roger Bucchi, he came out of Trenton, New Jersey and graduated Basic Training at Ft. Dix, My mom believes he was in vietnam somewhere between 1969-1972. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and service,
Jordan Lasher

Admin reply: Sorry Jordan, I don't have Roger on my list of 192nd AHC vets. But that doesn't mean that he didn't serve with the 192nd AHC since my list is not complete. Maybe someone that reads your post will remember him.

It has been awhile since I have browsed the 192nd website, and the great memories I have with many of you, and you all will never be forgotten. For those who do not know me, I served in the Tiger Shark gun platoon from 1970-1971

Admin reply: Welcome back Mike. Saw lots of your Tiger Shark compatriots at the 192nd AHC reunion this past weekend. Hope to see you at one soon.

Best regards, Bill Cope, Polecat 24, Jun-Dec 1971
